You Can Become A Master Gardener

Did you know gardening is one of America's most popular pastimes? You can grow fruits and vegetables!

It's also just a lot of fun and therapeutic for people who enjoy being outside.

Crystal Mercer from the North Carolina Cooperative Extension in Guilford County joined the Good Morning Show Saturday.

Mercer talked to us about Master Gardeners. They are individuals who have taken the Master Gardener training and share their time and expertise as volunteers the community.

The Guilford County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program, started in the 1980's, is an educational and service program designed to enhance public education in consumer horticulture through Outreach Programs.

Want to become a Master Gardener? Classes are taught once a year and are held every Wednesday morning beginning in January and continuing through the end of April.
