Young Triad Runners Head To Houston For Championship

GREENSBORO, NC -- This week, more than 20 young athletes from the Triad will compete in the National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championship in Houston.

Among them are Shaniya Lindsey-White, Amani Williams and Le'Ezra Brown. The three young athletes could be potential Olympians one day! They're members of the Greensboro Cheetah's track club, who qualified for the championship.

On Monday, they joined the Good Morning Show crew to explain how they've been getting mentally and physically prepared for the big race.

The championship in Houston will feature the most elite runners in the country, between the ages of 7 and 18.

In all, there are 24 elite young athletes from different track and field clubs in the Triad, competing in Houston.

You can watch their results live, by clicking right here, on the USA Track & Field website.
