Gov. Cooper Supports Paris Agreement, Says Trump Was Wrong

RALEIGH, NC -- North Carolina's governor is joining eight Democratic counterparts who say their states will remain committed to reducing climate-changing emissions despite President Donald Trump pulling the U.S. out of a global agreement.

Gov. Roy Cooper said Tuesday he's declared his support for the global Paris agreement along with more than 1,000 leaders of cities, universities and businesses.

Cooper said Trump's move last week was wrong and North Carolina will remain committed to clean air and a healthy environment.
