Greensboro Fires Water Reclamation Manager

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The city of Greensboro has fired Water Reclamation Manager Don Howard, one of the city's highest-paid employees.

City officials could not immediately comment on why they fired Howard because he is appealing their decision.

Howard held that position since January 2005. His salary was $102,752.

The Water Reclamation Division removes contaminates from waste water and releases it into nearby streams.
