GREENSBORO, N.C. – Stone Brewing Company could be making its way to the Triad.
Greensboro is on the shortlist of six cities that the company is considering.
Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan told WFMY News 2 it could bring about 325 jobs over a three-year period.
Vaughan says we should know by the end of June if the city advances any further. Stone, based out of Escondido, California, hopes to make a final decision by the end of the summer.
The brewery is looking for a 15-acre facility with easy access to the interstate. Stone is one the largest craft beer breweries in the nation. Vaughan says this would be a great investment for the city and would complement other breweries, such as Natty Greene's, well.
