Man Dies After Being Hit By Train In Winston-Salem: Police

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A man's body was found on railroad tracks in Winston-Salem on Friday. 

Police say they responded to the 3000 block of Indiana Avenue around 1 a.m. for an "unknown trouble" call. 

When officers got there, they found 36-year-old Robert Leon Perez' body. Investigators say he died after being hit by a train. 

The North Carolina Medical Examiner's Office, Winston-Salem Police, and Norfolk Southern are investigating the incident.
