Man Sought After Asheboro Chase Turns Into Wreck

ASHEBORO, N.C. – The Randolph County Sheriff's Office is looking for one man after a chase resulting in a crash after a break-in.

Deputies said they responded to a break-in at the James River Equipment at 421 US Highway 64 East in Asheboro Sunday. When they arrived to the scene, they said they saw a car leaving the area. They attempted to stop the car, but the two people inside refused to stop.

After a short chase, deputies said the suspects' car wrecked. Both suspects were airlifted to area hospitals.

The suspects were identified as Michael Ross and Robert Anthony Chisholm.

Chisholm has been treated and released according to hospital officials. Deputies are asking for anyone who knows of his whereabouts to call the Randolph County Sheriff's Office at 336-318-6699 or Randolph County Crimestoppers at 336-672-7463.

Investigators say both men are facing charges for their involvement in the breaking and entering. They said they have also recovered lawn equipment stolen from the business.

The investigation is still ongoing and other charges are forthcoming.
