Missing Fort Bragg Soldier Located Unharmed in Florida

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- A Fort Bragg soldier missing since early July has been located unharmed in Florida, according to the Army Criminal Investigative Command at Fort Bragg.

Private Juliet Striped Wolf, who is in the 92nd Civil Affairs Battalion, last spoke with her mother July 1.

The Special Operations Command told news partner WRAL it considered Striped Wolf to be "absent without leave," as she left the base without permission. The Command said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Wolf's disappearance, but the Command launched an investigation anyway.

Striped Wolf was located in Volusia County, Fla. Friday. Striped Wolf's mother said Striped Wolf has been in a rocky relationship with a woman named Amanda Cardone, who lives in Brunswick County, Fla. Police have not said whether Cardone urged Striped Wolf to leave base.

According to Gannett news partner WCNC in Charlotte, Striped Wolf will have to be brought back to Fort Bragg.
