National Day of Prayer is May 4th

Worshippers of all different faiths will observe National Day of Prayer on May 4th. 

It's a day for healing and spiritual renewal, and there are a few events recognizing the national day in the Triad.

MULTI-FAITH PRAYER PROGRAM IN HIGH POINT

  • Where: High Point Public Library Arts and Education Plaza, 901 North Main Street
  • Time: 7 a.m. and 7 p.m
  • Summary: This will be the first National Day of Prayer event hosted by the City High Point. Local faith leaders will lead people in prayer with emphasis on community, unity and peace. There will also be sacred text readings from multiple faiths including, but limited it, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Atheism, Bahá’í and Islam.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER BREAKFAST IN GREENSBORO

  • Where: Hayes-Taylor YMCA, E. Florida Street
  • Time: 8 a.m.
  • Summary: Hot breakfast will be served. The event is free but you must register.

MULTI-CHURCH PRAYER GATHERING IN DOWNTOWN GREENSBORO

  • Where: Phil G. McDonald Governmental Plaza, 220 S. Greene Street
  • Time: 12 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 4
  • Summary: Local leaders and pastors will lead the community in prayer. 

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER GATHERING AT WORLD VICTORY INTERNATIONAL

  • Where: World Victory International Christian Center, 1414 Cliffwood Drive in Greensboro
  • Time: 7-9 p.m. 
  • Summary: All are invited to be part of the prayer mission. 

ACN CONFERENCE AND PRAYER EVENT IN WINSTON-SALEM

  • Where: Central Triad Church, 2935 Cole Road in Winston-Salem
  • Time: 7-9 p.m. 
  • Summary: Join us for a powerful time of prayer and word at Central Triad Church. 

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN EDEN

  • Where: Eden City Hall, East Stadium Drive in Eden
  • Time: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
  • Summary: A united time of prayer for the community and for the nation on the steps of Eden City Hall. 

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER IN BURLINGTON

  • Where: Burlington Municipal Building, 425 South Lexington Avenue in Burlington
  • Time: 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Summary: Prayer will be led by local pastors. Join us in praying for the area, state and nation. You can bring your own lawn chair.
