NC Crews Arrive In Mississippi To Set Up Mobile Hospital

NORTH CAROLINA -- People in North Carolina are in Mississippi helping a community heal after a tornado ripped through the town.

The state of North Carolina sent its Mobile Disaster Hospital to a small town of Mississippi to fill a critical need.

The unit is owned by FEMA but NC Baptists Men Disaster Relief will help put the hospital together. Crews arrived Friday, but since the mobile hospital wasn't ready Saturday, they went into neighborhoods to help.

"I sent my team out into the community to assist Mississippi Baptists assisting with debris removal," Sharon Chitlin-Moser said. Moser is a team leader with the NC Baptist Men Disaster Relief and Student Mobilization.

Crews plan to set up the mobile hospital as really as Monday.
