GREENSBORO, N.C. -- National Night Out is a program to promote neighborhood police-citizen partnerships.
Community leaders are encouraged to register their participation with the Greensboro Police Department so officers can plan to stop by and celebrate with you. Police officers and public officials will visit as many registered events as possible. National Night Out will be celebrated Tuesday, August 1.
Any neighborhood can participate in NNO. Traditionally, residents showed their support by turning on their porch lights. Many communities also host block parties and other events.
To register for NNO, sign up here or contact your Community Resource Officer. Communities are asked to register by July 21.
