Cops On Top Raise Money For Special Olympics

GREENSBORO, NC -- Sheriff's deputies have staked out the roof of the Chick-fil-a in the Friendly Center all day - for Cops on Top - their annual fundraiser for the Special Olympics.

For the 14th year, the restaurant and the Guilford County Sheriff's Department have partnered to raise money so they can send athletes and their families to the Special Olympics. They hope to raise as much as $8,000 this year.

The "Cops on Top" and all the volunteers from the department that help run the fundraiser volunteer their time.

Cops on Top runs through late Saturday afternoon. You can donate by dropping money in one of the buckets at the door or the drive-thru or you can buy a t-shirt or hat. They cost between $15 and $20.
