ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- People in Rockingham County learned how to 'read the sky' Tuesday night at a weather spotter class.
The National Weather Service held a free storm spotting and weather safety presentation Tuesday night at the Rockingham County Emergency Operations Center.
The two-hour presentation taught participants how to 'read the sky' to determine what type of severe weather is coming. Participants were also given important weather safety information to help protect them and their families from the hazards of severe weather.
