Police: 15-Year-Old Stabbed In Fight Over Facebook Post

GRAHAM, N.C. -- A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in a fight over a Facebook post according to Graham Police.

Officers say the stabbing happened on Wednesday around 5:00 p.m. at Crescent Arms Apartments on East Parker Street. When police arrived, they said they found the 15-year-old boy on the ground in the parking lot. Police believe the teenager was stabbed five or six times.

The 17-year-old suspect was inside another apartment in the complex when police got to the scene. Officers said he started running towards East Elm Street and was taken into custody after a short pursuit.

Police said their investigation revealed the stabbing happened because of a fight between the two teenagers on Facebook.

The victim was taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill and is listed in stable condition. Police say his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The suspect was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center where he received a couple of stitches to a cut on his finger. From there, he was taken to Alamance County Jail and charged with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.

He is being held under a $200,000.00 secured bond.
