Police: Man Fires Rifle At Another Driver In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- A road rage incident turned violent in Huntersville on Wednesday, according to the police department.

Officers responded to the 17000 block of Davidson Concord Road around 5:30 p.m.

The victim told police the driver of another vehicle starting firing shots from a rifle during a traffic altercation.

Bradley Mahdinec, 39, continued driving after allegedly shooting at the other car. The victim followed Mahdinec and called 911 to report the incident.

Police pulled over the suspect on Old Statesville Road near Holbrook Road and arrested him.

Officers found a loaded AR-15 rifle in a search of the car.

Mahdinec was transported to Mecklenburg County and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
