Power Restored in Jamestown After Drunk Driver Crash

Power has been restored to part of Guilford County that was impacted by a power outage Thursday morning. Trooper Baker with the Highway Patrol said an impaired driver caused the accident around 2:30 a.m.

Duke Energy confirmed around 2,300 customers were without power near Jamestown after a car wreck damaged their equipment. Areas between Wendover Road and Guilford College Road are the most affected.

Florence Elementary School in High Point was partially without power. 

Duke's website says crews are on site and power should be back on by 1 p.m.
