Red Cross Volunteers From Triad Ready to Help Storm Victims

The Red Cross sends volunteers and an emergency vehicle to the North Carolina coast.

WINSTON-SALEM, NC -  In anticipation of Hurricane Matthew hitting the North Carolina coast, the American Red Cross is ready to help.

On Wednesday, Red Cross volunteers in Winston-Salem packed up and headed to Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Their plan is to help give out warm meals to people impacted by the storm. The group will also have supplies to help with cleaning up.

Todd Bundy is one of the volunteers headed to Elizabeth City. Bundy will stay there until the Red Cross tells him where he is needed the most.

This trip will mark Bundy's 20th visit to a disaster area.
