GREENSBORO, NC -- What if you could relive history right in your backyard?
Sunday the Guilford Militia hosted a living history event at the site of the Battle For Guilford Courthouse, a turning point in the Revolutionary War.
Volunteers dressed in period costumes and lived the same way the soldiers did during the war. They also had weapon and cooking demonstrations as well as games.
The group hosts 5 similar events at the park each year, and the next one is in November for Veterans Day.
They invite people to come out and learn the heritage of this nation, and un-learn some of the Hollywood misconceptions about the Revolutionary War.
