WFMY -- Here are your top and bottom restaurant scores from across the Triad.
SAKURA JAPANESE RESTAURANT AND SUSHI
548 S STRATFORD RD
According to the inspection report, an employee was cutting salad ingredients without gloves. The food has to be thrown out.
There was no soap or paper towels at one of the hand sinks.
And the restaurant was serving sushi rice, even though they had not been approved to do so.
The manager told us they've made all of the corrections and have already asked to be re-inspected.
620 TRADE STREET
This was supposed to be a re-inspection, after the restaurant earned a B last week. But they were docked even more points. The inspector said a server sneezed and did not wash his hands prior to preparing a drink.
The cold food, such as turkey, corn beef, pork, and lettuce, wasn't being stored at a safe temperature. The food was thrown away and the refrigerator unit has to be repaired.
And a container of Lobster meat was stored on the floor in the freezer.
The manager at Finnigan's Wake told us they know they dropped the ball, but they're making big changes, cleaning up, and working to make sure the food, the service and equipment are all top notch.
