Sawing Noise on Roof Leads To Man's Arrest For Larceny

DANVILLE, Va.-- Police in Danville said sawing noise heard by a store employee lead to the arrest of a man who was on the roof of the business.

Officers said around 7:34am, someone at Ashley Furniture reported to 911 they heard what sounded like sawing coming from the roof. When police responded to investigate, they found Gerald R. Sehen on top of the business. Investigators said a heating and air condition unit had been damaged and metal had been removed.

Sehen was charged with Petit Larceny, Malicious Damage and Trespassing. He was also served an outstanding warrant for Contempt of Court from Henry County Va., police said.

Sehen was taken to the Danville City Jail, his bond was set at $2,000.00.
