Sheriff: Man Arrested For Shooting Into An Occupied Vehicle

WENTWORTH, N.C. -- Police in Virginia arrested a man who shot into an occupied car in Rockingham County.

Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page told WFMY News 2 New Port News Police arrested Anthony Edward Traynham, 22, of Danville on outstanding warrants from a shooting in Rockingham County.

On March 24, the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office investigated an incident where a car belonging to Chad Rivera was shot into at 251 Candy Creek Road in Reidsville. Deputies say the car was occupied by five people but no one was injured.

Traynham is charged with Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Vehicle and Injury to Personal Property.
