Sheriff: Man Found Dead In Ditch In Archdale

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- The Randolph County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating a suspicious death after a man was found unresponsive in a ditch.

Deputies said they found the man's body Tuesday afternoon in the ditch on Mendenhall Road in Archdale.

Sheriff Maynard Reid told WFMY News 2 the cause of death has not been determined.

This is the second death investigation Tuesday in Randolph County.

Earlier Tuesday, detectives discovered the body of 41-year-old Tammy Holland in a separate case. Investigators say she was stabbed to death. It happened at her house on Loflin Hill Road in Trinity.

Detectives say they're still investigating both deaths.
