ASHEBORO, N.C. -- A Southwestern Randolph High School senior is stepping up in a big way to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
Student body president Lathe McDuffie called on his fellow classmates to donate supplies.
Together and with the help of their community, they filled up a donated 28-foot trailer with water, toiletries, baby diapers, and more.
Lathe says it was a calling from God to help the people in southeast Texas.
He will ride down to the Lone Star state early Friday morning to drop off the supplies.
