GUILFORD COUNTY -- Crews are hard at work cleaning dozens of downed trees in northern Guilford County.
Barbara Levan says she woke up to her yard covered in trees and branches. Her neighbors on Justamere Farm Road did, as well.
"I thought it was a tornado or something that came through because it sounded so loud," Levan tells.
The National Weather Service plans to survey the area to find out exactly what happened.
Most of the mess is by Highway 150. Levan says she's never seen anything like it.
"I'm not hoping to see anything like it again, either," she adds.
She and her neighbors plan on spending the next few days clearing away the debris from the storm.
