GREENSBORO, NC -- Strong storms are moving through the Piedmont Triad.
These storms are quick moving with winds gusts at 50 mph. We're also seeing lots of lightning with this storm system. We're getting pictures of down trees from the Denton area. There are reports of a tree down on a car in Greensboro.
The storm system moved up from the west. It brought plenty of damage to Georgia and Tennessee Friday afternoon.
Storms should move out of the area by 5:00 a.m.
With nighttime storms, make sure you have a way to receive warnings. Sleeping with your phone nearby is a good way to make sure you receive alerts. A NOAA weather radio is the best way to make sure you receive warnings.
