Teen Recovers From Hit-And-Run Accident

WHITSETT, N.C. -- A teenager from Whitsett is recovering after she was sideswiped by a car almost a week ago. 17-year-old Samantha Roberts was seriously injured in the hit and run.

She broke her pelvic bone and elbow, when a car clipped her while she was walking on Rock Creek Dairy Road, last Thursday night. Doctors said she'll have to spend months in therapy. The teen talked to WFMY News 2 about what she'd like to say to the person who hit her.

"A lot of stuff I shouldn't say on TV but I do forgive them because I am that type of person but they should have at least stopped," Roberts said.

Police are looking for a late model, green Honda Accord with one of the side mirrors missing. If you have information, please contact the State Highway patrol.
