The Stop-Arm Of The Law: School Buses, School Zones On Watch

The Guilford County Sheriff's Office will conduct an Operation Stop-Arm this week. Wednesday morning, multiple law enforcement agencies around the county will target traffic violations around school buses and school zones.

A release from Guilford County says the operation will last from 5:30 to 8:30 a.m. and hopes to reduce incidents and remind motorists to be cautious around buses and schools.

Guilford County Transportation Director Jeff Harris says the county has over 650 buses running during the morning. The school year started for many Triad institutions on Aug. 29.
