HIGH POINT, NC - What happens when your home is destroyed and you are thousands of miles away?
Right now that is a reality for some people in the Triad, who are from Haiti and had to watch Hurricane Matthew destroy their home.
A few members of First Haitian Wesleyan Church of High Point started the Triad Haitian Community Association.
10 people gather because of their common bond; their family and friends back in Haiti. Some of the people at the church have family and friends directly affected by the Hurricane.
Their main goal right now is to collect donations of any kind to help out those affected in Haiti. If you want more information you can visit their website.
