UNC Greensboro Students Paint Rock For Campus Police

GREENSBORO — For once, the police were glad to see graffiti. That's because some UNC Greensboro students gave the UNCG police department a morale boost with a supportive gesture on campus over the weekend.

The campus community at UNC Greensboro painted a blue stripe on both sides of its spirit rock. A manhole cover on campus was also painted blue with 'UNCG PD' followed by a heart.

"We're grateful for the support," said UNCG Chief of Police Paul Lester. "We thank the students who did that and it was nice for them to show support for the police department."

Lester says the gesture comes after the police department organized a cookout on campus with students last week.
