Undercover Drug Operation Leads To Over 20 Arrests In Eden

EDEN, N.C. – Eden Police say they arrested over 20 people through Operation Firecracker, an undercover project aimed to catch drug dealers.

The operation started in November 2013 and since then, police said they were able to identify 43 drug dealers in the Eden area. This totaled for 79 cases and 155 charges as a result of Grand Jury Indictments.

Phase 1 of the operation was initiated Friday with the help of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation. The following people have been charged as a result:

· Latoya Evette Scales, 28

· Roger Aiken, 29

· Joshua Fletcher Heffinger, 37

· Brandy Soloman, 28

· Sean Connery Hamlin, 30

· Reginald Jermaine Broadnax, 33

· Teresa Watkins Haizlip, 58

· Stephon Moyer, 32

· Patrick Martin, 48

· Kim Thomas Caldwell, 58

· Lawrence Matthew Hall, 24

· Leveda Lemons, 33

· Wayne "Buddy" Johnson, 26
