Veterans To Be Recognized With Wall Of Honor At Dixie Classic Fair

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Organizers with the Dixie Classic Fair are planning on honoring local veterans at this year's event.

Organizers are now accepting submissions through August 1 of those in the community who have served or are serving for the Veteran's Wall.

The Veterans Wall of Honor will honor all branches of the military and will be displayed in the Fairgrounds Annex Building during the fair. It will include names and photos of local men and women who have sacrificed for our country.

The wall will be up the entire time of the fair with benches for people to reflect and honor service members

Anyone wishing to submit information and photos for the wall can get submission forms from all area Veterans of Foreign Wars U.S.A. (VFW) and American Legion Posts, and Dixie Classic Fair Offices. You can also get forms at any Forsyth County public library.

Submissions must include an 8 by 10 photo of the service member, in color or black or white, and must be a portrait of the service member in uniform or a photo taken during active duty. The photos must be copies as they will not be returned.

You can send your submission forms and photos to the Dixie Classic Fair offices at 421 West 27th Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 by August 1.
