WFMY News 2 Wins Gannett Best Solutions Award For Aviation Campaign

McLEAN, VA-- Tuesday afternoon, Gannett Company INC, honored winners of its annual company-wide employee awards program, in addition to its Unsung Heroes, at a ceremony held at Gannett corporate headquarters in Virginia.

Gannett announced winners for 2013 Manager of the Year, Innovator of the Year, Sales Executive of the Year, Corporate Staffer of the Year, Best Client Solution, Content Awards, Leadership & Diversity Awards and Greater Good Awards.

WFMY News 2 was nominated in two categories: Leadership and Diversity and Best Client Solution. The station won the award for Best Client Solution for its Aviation Triad campaign.

Larry Audas, General Manager and President at WFMY News 2, along with Bill Lancaster, Vice-President of Sales and Christine Warren, Director of Research & Creative Services made the trip to accept the award.

WFMY News 2's evening anchor Julie Luck produced and hosted a 30 minute special on Aviation in the Triad which highlighted North Carolina's growing aviation industry.
