(GREENSBORO, N.C.) With the Panthers' sale imminent, who buys the team could decide the a lots of things.
The coaches, the players, and of course, whether or not they'll even stay in Charlotte.
On social media, many people speculated about whether or not the Panthers will stay at home.
I asked a couple sports experts how much control an owner like Jerry Richardson, or whoever succeeds him could have, and they say -- essentially -- the owner can do whatever they want -- as long as they get league approval.
In the past few years, we've seen many teams move. The Rams moved to LA, and the Raiders moving to Las Vegas.
We spoke with a sports CEO who does event production for many different types of sports, and he says he doesn't think that will be the case with the Panthers, because the area is thriving.
"Hopefully that won't be the case. I think Charlotte and the Carolinas are a fantastic market. We are still growing very strongly. Charlotte is looked at as a premier city that is continuing to grow and prosper and that would be a good market to have a professional franchise in," said Carrow.
Carrow says since the Panthers have been successful on the field, the city and state they're in is growing -- not shrinking, and because they do pretty well on television he doesn't see them moving.
However, he says stranger things have happened.
So at this point, we will just have to see how it all shakes out.
