Winston-Salem Police Investigating City's Fourth Homicide

Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Police officers in Winston-Salem have the daunting task of investigating its fourth homicide.

In a news release, investigators said they responded a shooting Friday night and found a man lying in the roadway in the 2100 block of N. Cleveland Ave. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the man dead.

Officers identified the person as 23-year-old Christopher Jones who had been shot.

No motive for the shooting is currently unknown and the investigation is ongoing, detectives said.

Winston-Salem had only one homicide at this same time in 2013.
