Firefighters Hang Lights After Homeowner Falls From Ladder

He fell and broke his leg while trying to hang Christmas lights - he didn't expect West Metro firefighters to come out and help put them all up.

JEFFERSON COUNTY - Firefighters with West Metro Fire Rescue went above and beyond for a Jefferson County homeowner who fell and broke his leg while hanging Christmas lights on Friday morning.

At about 10 am., medical crews and firefighters were called to a home in the Ken Caryl Valley neighborhood when resident Glenn Elvenholl fell from a ladder, breaking his leg and dislocating his ankle, according to a Facebook post from West Metro

While the medical crew helped get Elvenholl to the hospital safety, firefighters stayed behind and helped finish hanging up the Christmas lights.

Elvenholl’s wife, Sandy, captured a few photos of the firefighters in action, and expressed her appreciation to the department as well.
