Two Oreo Fudge Creme Flavors Recalled

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Two flavors of Oreo Fudge Cremes are being recalled because they may contain milk, an allergen that is not on the ingredient label, according to Giant Food. 

The products are safe for those who do not have a milk allergy. 

Giant has put out the voluntary recall for the following cookies: 

• Oreo Fudge Cremes, 11.3 oz, UPC 4400002694 with Best By Dates of 19 AUG 16, 20 AUG 16, 14 SEP 16, 13    OCT 16, 14 OCT 16 and 17 OCT 16

• Oreo Fudge Cremes - Mint, 11.3 oz., UPC 4400002696 with Best By Dates of 20 AUG 16, 21 AUG 16, 14 SEP 16, 15 SEP 16, 16 SEP 16, 17 OCT 16, 18 OCT 16

Giant Food has not received any reports of illnesses to date, according to the release. 

Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund Consumers looking for additional information on the recall may call Mondelez at 855-535-5948. In addition, customers may call Giant Food Customer Service at 888-469-4426 Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for more information.
