California Highway Patrol Officer Rescues Chihuahua Stranded On Median

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – A California Highway Patrol (CHP) officer rescued a Chihuahua that was stranded on a busy highway's median.

According to CBS San Francisco, the officer saw the dog Friday evening during rush hour. He stopped and used a protein bar to convince the dog to move toward him.

The dog was not harmed.

CHP says they have already received several offers from the public to adopt the dog.
