KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Officials say Knoxville firefighters were working to remove a fuel tank when it exploded.
It happened near a deli in South Knoxville. WVLT reports that workers inside that deli said things started falling from the ceiling when the explosion happened.
"The damage assessment inside, it looks like the roof raised up off the foundation," said fire chief Kevin Nunn, "So more than likely the building will be demolished."
Firefighters say the force of the explosion moved the tank about 65 ft and blew off the end cap which was found about a quarter mile away.
Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident.
