Passenger Kicked Off Flight For Cat Calling Flight Attendant

SEATTLE -- A passenger was kicked off an Alaska Airlines flight at Sea-Tac Airport Sunday after allegedly cat calling a flight attendant during the safety briefing.

Amber Nelson, a passenger seated in front of the man, wrote about it on her Facebook page. She said as the flight attendant was demonstrating how to use the life vest, the man said, "ooh, baby."

He was seated in a middle seat with a woman sitting on either side of him, according to Nelson, and three women seated in front of him.

Nelson says she exchanged uncomfortable glances with two other women in her row.

"Every woman I know has been through this kind of degrading experience. We were trapped on a plane with a guy who clearly disrespected women and saw us as his own personal entertainment," said Nelson.

The flight attendant removed the vest, went up to the man and said, "You need to be respectful," according to Nelson. As the flight attendant returned to her duties, the man allegedly said "C'mon, I'm just playing with you!"

Nelson said all the flight attendants stopped the safety briefing and convened in the front of the cabin. A few minutes later, another airline employee came on board to escort the man off the plane.

"I didn't do anything wrong! I didn't do anything wrong!" the man said, according to Nelson, before gathering his belongings and leaving.

"I felt honored as a patron of the airline - and as a woman - because Alaska Airlines supported their staff and those of us on board who were demeaned by another passenger's juvenile and exceedingly disrespectful behavior. Thank you for taking this seriously," wrote Nelson.

Business Insider reports Alaska Airlines confirmed the story.
