Mr. Z is a 5-year-old neutered male cat who was found as a stray and brought into the shelter, but you would have never guessed it!
This handsome fellow loves spending time with people, he is extremely affectionate and can hardly sit still, he is always rubbing up against you begging for attention and affection. This handsome will surely be underfoot while you’re fixing dinner!
Mr. Z loves for nothing more than to snuggle up with his favorite people, but you had better grab a snack and a good book or the remote before you two settle in because once Mr. Z finds his comfy spot on your lap he will slip right away to dream land.
Mr. Z has tested positive for FIV, a disease spread cat- to- cat through bite wounds. FIV is an immunodeficiency virus and most cats will not show any signs or symptoms for years after initial contact, if ever.
Cats like Mr. Z who are receiving supportive medical care and kept in a stress free indoor environment may live comfortable lives for years before the disease reaches its chronic stages, if it ever does.
When caring for an FIV infected cat it is important that they are kept indoors and their families monitor them for changes in their health and behavior, and keep them on a nutritionally balanced diet.
If you like to give Mr. Z a forever home you can contact Guilford County Animal Shelter at (336) 641-3400. They are located at 4525 W. Wendover Ave. Greensboro, NC 27409
