Triad Sets a Record High; Cooler for Halloween

GREENSBORO, NC -- There's never been a warmer October 30th in Triad history. Just don't expect that heat to last too much longer.

Temperatures warmed up to a high of 84 degrees Sunday afternoon. That sets a new record for the date, breaking the old record of 83 degrees back in 1996.

If this October heat isn't your cup of tea, cooler air will move back in for Halloween. Temperatures will only warm into the upper 60s Monday afternoon, with comfortably cool weather for trick or treating Monday night.

We'll stay cool again on Tuesday, but warm right back up on Wednesday and Thursday with highs near 80.
