Lawn Equipment Stolen While Crews Were Working: 2 Arrested

BURLINGTON, NC - Two people were arrested after police say they stole lawn equipment while crews were working in the area. 

Burlington Police Officers said they received a call at the Holly Hill Mall on June 9 about the missing equipment. 

May's Landscaping told officers they were missing weed eaters, backpack blowers, and hedge trimmers from their trucks. 

After an investigation, deputies with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office charged Kristin Rhew, 30, and Tan Brooks, 22, with Felony Possession of Stolen Property and Attempting to Obtain Property by False Pretense. 

Both are at the Alamance County Detention Center with a $10,000 secured bond.
