2017 PGA Championship Practice Round Tickets For Sale

CHARLOTTE, N.C.  --  The PGA of America today relaunched ticket sales for the 2017 PGA Championship, offering several unique opportunities to experience Charlotte’s first-ever major golf championship when it comes to Quail Hollow Club Aug. 7-13, 2017.

Tickets are just $30 apiece to attend practice rounds either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of Championship week. Week-long passes and single-day tickets for Championship rounds Thursday through Sunday previously sold out through the PGA’s ticket registration process, which saw a record response for the 2017 event. Those interested in purchasing practice round tickets should visit www.pgachampionship.com as soon as possible, as some available dates may sell out.

In addition, the PGA of America’s commitment to growing the game of golf allows each ticketed adult to bring up to four juniors under age 17 onto the grounds for free all seven days of the Championship. Junior tickets can be picked up at the Admission Sales and Will Call Office at the Championship main entrance and will be available each day regardless of sell out.

Likewise, all U.S. active duty, military retirees, active reserve, National Guard and their accompanying spouse are eligible to receive complimentary Daily Grounds tickets by presenting their Military ID at the Admission Sales and Will Call Office.

The PGA Championship features golf’s deepest and strongest field of competitors, and in 2017 they’ll be tackling a new challenge following enhancements to the legendary Quail Hollow layout overseen this past summer by renowned golf architect Tom Fazio. In addition to showcasing the best golfers in the world preparing for the final major championship of the 2017 season, practice round highlights include Tuesday’s annual PGA Championship Long Drive Contest, which has become a favorite among fans and participants alike.

Each player in the field gets one shot to see how far they can launch their drive, but they must keep it in the fairway for their shot to qualify. In 2016 South Korea’s Byeong Hun An won the competition with a 347-yard drive on the first hole of Baltusrol Country Club’s Lower Course, earning a $25,000 donation to the charity of his choice and a gold money clip just like the one 1962 and 1963 winner Jack Nicklaus still uses to this day.

“Practice rounds afford our guests a chance to get a one-of-a-kind look at golf played at its highest level,” said 2017 PGA Championship Director Jason Mengel. “You can really see how much preparation the players put into competing for a major championship. We’re excited to make this opportunity available just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.”

In addition, there are still a limited number of corporate hospitality and volunteer opportunities available for the 2017 PGA Championship.
