CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina men's basketball team will compete in the Hall of Fame Tip Off Tournament in November 2013 with games to be played in both Chapel Hill and Uncasville, Conn.
The Tar Heels are one of eight schools slated to play in the event, which will be hosted by the Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Fame that is based in Springfield, Mass.
Carolina will be competing in the Naismith Bracket along with Fairfield, Louisville and Richmond. The Springfield Bracket includes Belmont, Hartford, Hofstra and Holy Cross.
UNC will play host to games at the Smith Center on November 15th and 17th, then travel to Uncasville, Conn., to play games at the Mohegan Sun Arena on November 23rd and 24th.
The Tar Heels previously played in the Hall of Fame Game in Springfield, Mass., in 1982-83 against St. John's, 1987-88 against Syracuse and 1996-97 against Arizona.
