Triad Schools Canceling After-School Activities

A storm system that started moving across the country yesterday, leaving death and destruction is headed to North Carolina and the Triad.

This has prompted several school systems in the area to cancel after-school activities.

Alamance County: Due to the potential for severe weather later this afternoon, Alamance-Burlington Schools is cancelling all after-school activities and athletics for today, including school-based after school daycare programs.

Randolph County: Please be advised that due to the pending severe weather conditions all after school activities of the Randolph County Schools are canceled/postponed today, January 30th.

After School Day Care will be determined based on the Principal's decision pending weather conditions.

Rockingham County: All after-school activities and athletics are canceled today, due to severe weather that is expected later this evening.  After-school daycare programs are on normal schedule.

Forsyth County: WS/FCS has canceled afterschool activities after 5 p.m. today because of the threat of severe weather.
