SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Elon forward Lucas Troutman has been named the Southern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for all games played January 29 through February 4. Troutman averaged 22.5 points and 8.0 rebounds as Elon picked up wins over UNCG (72-66) and Samford (77-66) last week. It is the second time he has won the award this season.

Troutman tallied a team-high 19 points in the win over UNCG. The Belton, S.C., native added six rebounds, three blocked shots, three steals and two assists in 32 minutes of action.

The junior helped Elon run its winning streak to seven games with Saturday's victory over Samford. Troutman poured in a game-high 26 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and added six blocked shots. It was his third double-double of the season.

With 140 career blocked shots, Troutman is two shy of tying Elon's school record. He ranks third in the league with 16.0 points per game and is 14th in rebounds (6.0 rpg). Troutman is second in the conference in field goal percentage (.542) and second in blocked shots (2.2 bpg).

The Phoenix (15-7, 8-2 SoCon) returns to action Thursday when Elon visits Wofford (8-15, 2-8 SoCon).
