GREENSBORO, N.C. - Guilford College has earned the top seed for the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Lacrosse Tournament, which begins Wednesday. The Quakers and second-seeded Shenandoah University received a bye into the semifinals of the six-team tournament.

The Quakers (15-1, 10-0 ODAC) are currently on a school-record 14-game winning streak and seeking their first women's lacrosse conference crown.

The Quakers beat Washington and Lee University, 11-6 on Saturday, clinching the first 10-0 ODAC record in league history. The win also marked Guilford's first against the Generals since 1990, snapping a losing streak of 24 games.

Guilford boasts two of NCAA Division III's top scorers in E'leyna Garcia and Lily Colley.

Through games of 4/14, Garcia led the nation in goals and points. Colley was tied for fourth in scoring and seventh in goals. Garcia tops the ODAC in points (111) and has scored a league-record 96 goals.

She owns Guilford's game, season and career records for points and goals. Colley stands second in the ODAC in goals (71), points (110), assists (39) and ground balls (50). Her 39 assists marks a Guilford record and she also ranks second in career assists (69).

Teammate Eleanora Keene has also made her mark this season and leads the conference with 64 ground balls, 105 draw controls and 32 caused turnovers.

Goalkeeper Liza Mettler has asserted her dominance in the net as her goals-against average tops the league (9.00) and her 143 saves stand second.

Guilford will host its semifinal game April 27 or 28 against the winner of the April 24 quarterfinal match-up between fourth-seeded Washington and Lee University and fifth-seeded Lynchburg College.

With a win, the Quakers would play in and host their first ODAC Tournament final in school history.
