New York - The newest Tampa Bay Ray Wil Myers cranked his first major league homerun on Saturday.
The Thomasville native and Wesleyan Christian Academy alum launced a grandslam in the sixth inning against the New York Yankees.
Myers started his professional career with the Burlington Royals. Saturday's grandslam was off of C.C. Sabathia, who also played minor league baseball in Burlington.
