Winston-Salem, NC -- The Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration awarded a $1.2 million grant to expand Winston-Salem State University's Enterprise Business Center. The EBC grows new businesses and supports entrepreneurs.
The grant was announced by U.S. Senator Kay Hagan who has been working with a Small Business Advisory Committee since March to find ways to help small businesses expand.
Dr. Notis Pagiavlas talked about the Enterprise Business Center on the Good Morning Show. He says the expansion of the existing incubator program would eventually help create 300 jobs in the area.
"The Center helps address the economy and will bring long-term economic change by creating an environment that supports and grows small business," Dr. Pagiavlas said.
