DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke redshirt junior quarterback Anthony Boone will serve as a counselor at the prestigious Manning Passing Academy, with this year's session set for July 11-14 in Thibodaux, La.

"I'm certainly thankful for the opportunity and excited to represent Duke University and our football program," Boone said. "I'm looking forward to working with the kids and spending time with the other college quarterbacks from around the country."

A native of Weddington, N.C., Boone has played in 22 games with one starting assignment over the past two seasons, completing 79-of-148 (.534) passes for 829 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions while rushing for an additional 211 yards and six touchdowns. Among active ACC quarterbacks, he ranks sixth in total points (36), 10th in passing yards, 10th in total offensive yards (1,040) and tied for 10th in touchdown passes.

In his first career start, Boone guided the Blue Devils to a 42-17 victory over Virginia on October 6, 2012 at Wallace Wade Stadium. In the win, he completed 18-of-31 (.581) passes for 212 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 41 yards on seven attempts.
